November ALREADY?

So, it has been forever and a half since I blogged on here. But that is only because I started college in the fall! (yay!) And I finally got a job, so I have been crazy busy. I have started a video blog on YouTube.com which people can check out if they'd like. My channel is brikifer44.

Anyway, I just discovered Laini Taylor's blog on here. She is one of my FAVORITE writers of all time. I was looking through her blog and her favorite things and we are like twins. Well, if only I had as much talent as her. But we are both Jane Austen fans, and we both loved the Abhorsen Trilogy. I swear, she is my hero. I want to be her "when I grow up." Her book Lips Touch Three Times, is one of my favorite books out there right now. I LOVED it! I read it over and over again. She is BRILLIANT. She is also having a baby and that makes me EVEN more jealous, if that is even possible.

Anyway check out her work, SHE IS AWESOME!

Return to Blog and Return to Cranford

Ok. So it,s been forever since I blogged about anything. And I notice that no one comments so, it's no one's loss, but I though I'd start up again, for my own sake.

I just watched Return to Cranford, which is (obviously) the sequel to Cranford. It was very different than the first and I liked it better in so many ways. Judi Dench reprises her role as Miss. Matty who has come into her own, and isn't the scared women looking to her sister as she was in the first series. I also enjoyed Mary Smith's return, and I fell in love with the new characters especially Peggy Bell and William Buxton, their romance is so pure and sweet it added a much needed love aspect that the first lacked. I fervently recommend it.

I love his curly blond hair! He makes me think of a blond J.J Field.

William Buxton (played by Tom Hiddleston)

Alice in Wonderland Party

My cousin and I are planning an Alice in Wonderland party. It is going to be so amazing. And afterwards we are going to see the movie.

The party is at the Apple Tree Inn & Resturant. It is the cutest little place. And we have reserved a private room. And we get to decorate the tables whatever way we want. I mean we really wanted to have more of a real party, but this is more like a fancy dress dinner. i'm really excited still.

Location:

This is the inn and the private room we have reserved. I think it is so beautiful and perfect.

Decorations:

I am going to buy heart shaped balloons hopefully. red and gold ones. I bought these perfect chocolates from v day that are playing cards. I was so excited when I saw them becase they are perfect. I also got this pretty gold shower curtin really cheap that I'm using for a table cloth.

Found: item 1 Hottie MARLON BRANDO

I have discovered a true hottie of a bygone era. Ok, well not discovered, but I didn't really know of him myself. Everyone has heard of Marlon Brando. But do we realize how totally gorgeous he really was? (in his pre-TANGO days) To be completely honest I have yet to view A Streetcar Named Desire. Not from a lack of interest, but a lack of time. There are frankly too many movies that I need to see. But it's on my list.

But the point is, that Marlon Brando is smouldering! (scratch that... "was smouldering") The movie Ultimo tango a parigi was a risky choice, becoming one of the most controversial movies in film history. But Brando's performance is not lacking... his looks however are... enough said.

When it comes to acting, no matter what anyone says, it is NOT all about looks. There are plenty of famously brilliant actors who do not have the typical "movie star" faces.

Back to the subject of Brando, I think he was often miscast. But I have an inkling (although never having seen the Godfather *i know sad*) that he was an amazing mafia Vito Corleone. And Guys and Dolls is another on my list! Musical! Must see how Marlon handles that. I feel like I'm entering the 50's a little too late. Time to play catch up! I was definitely born in the wrong time! Anyway, updates on my Brandothon later!

Rigby Cullen Kifer

As soon as I saw this darling and his beautiful golden eyes I knew he would be mine and I also knew that he had to have some name from twilight. His eyes are the exact color of Meyer's 'good' vampires. I had thought of naming him Edward, but it didn't fit. I am in love with the Beatles so I decided to name him Rigby Cullen... I think it is PERFECT!!!
